Caregiver Program Overview
Nowadays, it is recognized that a labor market need exists for live-in caregivers and a shortage of Canadians or permanent residents willing to provide live-in care workers to fill these positions. In response to this need, the Live-in Caregiver Program was established to facilitate the entry to Canada of foreign live-in caregivers.

Canada Caregiver Visa Program Process
If you are eligible and qualified to apply for the Caregiver Visa Canada Program, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Express Entry system. Once your EOI is processed, you can apply for a permanent residence visa if selected in a draw.
Types of Canada Caregiver Immigration Programs:
Home Child Care Provider Pilot: This program is designed for caregivers interested in working as nannies or daycare providers in Canada. To apply, candidates must possess at least two years of experience in child care and be proficient in either English or French.
Home Support Worker Pilot: This program is designed for caregivers interested in working in Canada to care for seniors or individuals with disabilities. Applicants must comprise at least two years of experience in home care and be able to communicate effectively in English or French.
Live-in Caregiver Program: If you’re interested in working as a caregiver for seniors or people with disabilities in Canada, this legacy program might be for you. To meet the qualifications, you must have at least one year of caregiving experience and be open to residing with the person you care for.
Home Child Care Provider Program Canada (HCCP):
Overseas caregivers/nannies with the appropriate aptitude and experience can obtain immigration through the Home Child Care Provider (HCCP) program. Those with work experience under the NOC TEER Code 44100 may apply for the HCCP program in Canada.
