Overview
“Tourists” are individuals who intend to visit Canada temporarily to visit relatives, friends, or Canadian sights. Entry to Canada is a privilege, not a right. If you want to visit Canada, you must meet the necessary requirements and may need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV).
If you don’t need a Temporary Resident Visa, you can go to any port of entry in Canada and inform the Immigration Officer that you plan to visit the country temporarily for sightseeing, business, or visiting family or friends by presenting your passport.
If you need a Temporary Resident Visa to visit Canada, you will need to apply for it at the Canadian visa office in your country of citizenship or the country where you have been lawfully admitted.
Canadian tourist visas are temporary and cannot be used to obtain permanent immigration. Although extensions are possible, travelers must prove they plan to leave the country once their visa expires.
Visitor Visa for Canada Requirement!
Visiting Canada for a short period requires most non-Canadian nationals to apply for a Canadian tourist visa. Canada does permit visa-free travel for up to six months for citizens and permanent residents of several countries. However, for those who do not receive this concession, the Canadian tourist visa, a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), grants a candidate a maximum of six months in Canada.
Obtaining a visa to visit Canada can be challenging in some Countries. The rules keep changing from year to year in most countries, especially in countries with high populations and many applicants. In order to get a visa to Canada, or any other country for that matter, you need to show that you will return to your country of permanent residence. Even if you plan to return to your country, you must show it with documents.

Super Visa – The visa is intended for Canadian citizens or permanent residents’ parents and grandparents. It enables them to remain in Canada for a maximum of two years at a time.
