Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $39.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Location: British Columbia

Education: high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.) : Completion of Provincial Blasting Ticket – Certificate or License OR eligible for registration

Experience: 3 years+

Languages: Speak English

Responsibilities:
– Demonstrate a safe working environment
– Operation of blasting equipment using a variety of blasting to apply coatings in accordance with customer requirements
– Application of standard quality control procedures
– Maintenance of blasting equipment
– Testing, repairs or assembly work as assigned
– Movement of materials in blasting area
– General housekeeping of blasting area
– Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
– Completion of Provincial Blasting Ticket – Certificate or License OR eligible for registration
– Demonstrated competency in the industry
– Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
– Proven ability to work under deadlines recognizing production targets and the importance of sufficient blasted inventory for continued mining operations
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Mine rescue training and experience is an asset
– Can successfully complete all necessary paperwork legibly and correctly
– Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
– Strong commitment to health and safety on the work-site
– Copy of drivers abstract at time of employment
– Meet productivity requirements in a safe and consist fashion
– Ability to work in a team environment
