Job Description
Title: Millwright
Reports to: Foreperson, Fabrication Shop Supervisor
Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however, travel to other project sites in Saskatchewan is required
Duration: One to two years, depending on project progress
Compensation: $34.50/h, pension and health benefits
Work Hours: full time, 40hours/week,overtime at 1.5 times regular wages

Responsibilities and Tasks
– Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
– Rebuild and/or repair production machinery and systems on site
– Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
– Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
– Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
– Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
– Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, reporting of all suspect facility and operational issues
– Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
– Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
– Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
– Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations
– Provide support to the manufacturing operations, positively interacting with customers for timely resolution of production/equipment concerns
– Other tasks related to industrial equipment as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
– A journey person certificate and 5 years work experience in the trade is required. Completion of secondary school or vocational school or a high school degree with a minimum of 10 years work experience in the trade will also be considered.
– Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
– Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
– Millwright trade certification is considered an asset
– Safety tickets are considered an asset
– Inter provincial Red Seal is an asset
– Valid driver’s license is an asset
