Our Products Development team currently includes individuals with diverse experience ranging from the development of stand-alone applications to custom integrations with Microsoft Dynamics GP products. The team collaborates with the sales and consulting teams to evaluate and suggest various solutions to our clients’ challenges, to ensure a clear understanding of system requirements and to deliver stable, high-quality solutions.
Reporting to the Practice Lead, Products, the Technical Support Analyst will:
Provide timely first and second level support to end users for Encore’s software products.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues to provide customers with a solution
Have the ability to understand and support .Net and Dexterity based applications
Possess superior problem solving abilities
Have an understanding of implementing and supporting financial software
Maintain good working relationships with Value Added Resellers
Provide feedback to the team on support cases that have been influenced by product release changes
Maintain proficiency with the Encore line of products
Demonstrate a professional and friendly manner
Be based in Winnipeg
The ideal candidate may have all or a combination of the following skills and attributes:
Excellent customer support skills and/or customer training.
2+ years’ experience supporting computer software applications
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL/DBMS (Manage DB’s – create, backup, restore. Understanding of tables, fields, views, stored procedures, security and other database elements)
An understanding of accounting principles.
The ability to work individually or in a team environment
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
Ability to organize and prioritize
A high aptitude for learning and change
Ability to organize and prioritize workload
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Working knowledge of Virtual Private Networking
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
Familiarity and experience with accounting applications
Domain knowledge in ERP Solutions
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
Familiarity with Citrix environments
A degree in Computer Science, Computer Analyst/Programmer program or equivalent degree or experience
Experience with Dexterity, C#, C++,VB, SQL, .NET
