Family Connections Category
To be eligible to apply the to NLPNP Family Connections Category, you must:
International Graduate
The NLPNP International Graduate Category was created for international students, who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Canada, to be considered for nomination for permanent residence in Canada.
To be considered for nomination under this category, the applicant must:
Have a full-time job offer in their field of study, or a related field of study, from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer OR (b) Have a proven attachment to the local labour market. For example: Although you may be currently working in a temporary (full-time) position or on contract, if you can show that the position has potential to be extended OR that you would be able to secure another position within this organization, you would be deemed to have a labour market attachment.
Have applied to the NLPNP within two years of the date on which you received your degree or diploma OR during the last semester of completing your degree or diploma (in which case you will have to provide transcripts which indicate that you will be graduating at the end of the semester.
Have the qualifications, training, skills, and accreditation required for the job.
Can demonstrate the intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador;
Have a job or job offer for a position which corresponds to your education and specific skill levels.
Immigrant Entrepreneur
The Immigrant Entrepreneur Category is intended for prospective immigrants who propose to establish a new business or who propose to purchase all or part of an existing business that has supportable prospects for expansion in Newfoundland and Labrador and who intend to be self-employed in that business. Immigrant entrepreneurs who wish to apply in this category must meet the following criteria:
